Photo Tours: Liability Waiver
This form asks you to acknowledge the inherent risks of outdoor photography tours/excursions and to release Kevin Prince Photography from liability for unforeseen circumstances, personal injury or illness, and damage to your equipment.
I, the undersigned acknowledge that the photo tour/excursion with Kevin Prince Photography involves inherent risks and hazards. I am aware that participation in this activity may expose me to physical exertion, unpredictable weather conditions and inherent dangers of water hazards including, but not limited to; coastal water, open water, streams and waterfalls, road hazards and undefined hazards associated with outdoor landscape photography. I am aware that the activity may result injury or death, I understand it is my responsibility to adhere to safety guidelines and follow the instructions provided by Kevin Prince Photography staff.
HEALTH and FITNESS
I confirm that I am physically fit and capable of participating in the photo tour/excursion to (...................................................) I can swim and able to climb steep tracks without injury. I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, allergies or medications to the owner of Kevin Prince Photography (Kevin Prince) and am not currently affected by alcohol, drugs or prescription medications that could affect my ability to complete this photo tour/excursion. I understand that it is my responsibility to inform Kevin Prince Photographer tour leaders of any change in health status during the Photo Tour/excursion
MEDICAL EVENT
In the event of an accident or illness, I authorise the obtaining of such medical assistance as may be thought necessary by Kevin Prince Photography staff or owner
NATURAL HAZARDS
I am aware that this photo tour takes place in the natural outdoor environment which is inherently dangerous and unpredictable. I am aware that the following natural hazards exist, including but not limited to earthquake, landslides, rock fall, tree fall, avalanche, tsunami, changeable weather and adverse environmental conditions. Dangers from natural hazards may result in injury or even death. I have accepted this risk.
DECLARATION
I have read, understood and agree to comply with the safety safety guidelines and procedures. I acknowledge risks associated with the photo tour/excursion I will be participating in and will exercise caution and prudence during the activities that make up the photo tour/excursion. I will communicate any issues I may have to safely complete the photo tour/excursion and accept the risks associated with this photo tour excursion

Photo Tours: Terms and Conditions
General
You must be 18 years or older to join a tour unless accompanied by a guardian. Payment of the tour fee confirms that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
Bookings and Payment
Your place is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received. Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit, with the balance due in full one month ahead of the tour start date as confirmed at the time of booking.
Cancellation by You
Initial deposits are non-refundable, though in some circumstances may be transferred to a future tour - please enquire. Cancellations made well ahead of the tour date may be eligible for a partial refund if your place can be filled; cancellations closer to the tour date carry reduced or no refund. You are strongly encouraged to take out travel insurance to cover any amounts that cannot be refunded under this policy.
Force Majeure
I am not liable for delay, cancellation, or changes to a tour resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, transport disruption, or public health emergencies. Where such an event affects a tour, I reserve the right to modify the itinerary, postpone the tour, or take any other reasonable steps necessary for participant safety. In these circumstances, the following options apply, in order of preference: transfer to a rescheduled date at no extra cost; credit toward a future tour, valid for 24 months; or a refund less any non-recoverable costs already committed (such as accommodation or transport bookings).
Cancellation by Kevin Prince Photography
If a tour is cancelled due to personal circumstances or insufficient numbers, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future date. If a tour is terminated partway through due to unforeseen personal circumstances, any refund will depend on how much of the tour has been completed.
Weather and Alternative Locations
New Zealand's weather is unpredictable, and while every effort will be made to visit all planned locations, the itinerary may be adjusted to make the most of conditions on the day. A tour will not be cancelled for ordinary rain forecasts, which can often produce excellent photographic conditions. A decision on any tour affected by a severe weather system will be made in the days beforehand wherever possible.
Insurance
You are responsible for arranging your own travel, medical, and equipment insurance. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover cancellations, delays, or disruption caused by weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.
Health and Safety
Tours are designed to be accessible to photographers of all fitness levels, with locations chosen specifically to avoid long treks or difficult terrain. You are responsible for informing me of any health conditions that may affect your participation, and for bringing and managing any personal medication required. Appropriate wet-weather gear, warm layers, and comfortable footwear should be brought to every session, as conditions can change during the day. You are responsible for your own safety throughout the tour; Kevin Prince Photography is not liable for accidents or damage to person, equipment, or the natural environment arising from your own actions.
Dietary Requirements
Where a tour includes meals, please advise any dietary requirements in advance.
Camera Preparation
To get the most from your tour, please arrive with a working understanding of your camera's manual mode and RAW capture settings, along with sufficient memory cards and spare batteries for a full day of shooting.
Appropriate Behaviour
By booking a tour, you agree to behave appropriately throughout. Behaviour that disrupts the tour or affects other participants will not be tolerated, and no refund will be given if a participant is asked to leave as a result.
Social Media
By joining a tour, you agree that you may be photographed or filmed for future promotional use across Kevin Prince Photography's website and social media channels.
