A land with the most ancient of histories - Greece is considered the cradle of Western civilisation, being the birthplace of democracy, western philosophy and literature, major scientific and mathematical principles, political science, theatre, and the Olympic Games.
Bustling Athens, the iconic Acropolis, a plethora of ancient sights to visit such as The Temple of Poseidon at sunset. Then on to the Greek Islands - Santorini where the crowds are pervasive and to be avoided by rising for sunrise and staying out late for sunsets. And Crete with friendly, generous people and memorable photographic images. It's hard to pick a favourite however the Arkadi Monastery images were created on a beautiful calm Crete morning when no visitors to this sight had arrived- special!
