France Landscape Photography
These images were mostly taken over a short four day trip to Paris and the Champagne region. Paris was its frenetic self and provided a beautiful early morning at Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica together with the night in Paris which was sensational.
Reims and the Champagne region was a flying visit in heavy rain for much of one day - the region however still managed to provide incredible views, champagne and company - very memorable!
The stone buildings are an image from Gordes and old renovated accommodation in the hill country outside Avignon in which we stayed - this accomodation was used in history as the rural papal retreat when the centre of Catholicism was in Avignon. The excitement here was on the last night when a bat invaded our room and took some catching after enduring a few minutes of the creature diving at us while we hid under bed covers!
